We got to meet the teacher, tour Jordan's new class room, and walk around the school again. Jordan got to see where his class is supposed to meet in the mornings, the cafeteria where he'll eat his lunch, the playground of course and he got to see where the library was located! He was pretty disappointed because the library is closed until August 11th !
His teacher is VERY energetic and enthusiastic...she seems to lover her job and also has a daughter starting Kinder. His new teacher seems, in Jordan's words, "Awesome! She's the best teacher ever!" We've actually run into her a couple of times outside of school, way before I knew she was going to be his teacher, and she actually remembered us......not sure if that is a good sign...
Jordan got to meet and play with most of his new classmates, while I filled out all the necessary paperwork. One family even gave out invites to the whole class for a play date before school starts!
Last night was also my first night at a school event as an official PTSO board member. Can you say crazy!!! I sold school shirts, calendars, folders, etc.! Last night we made a lot of money for the PTSO so it was great...the only thing was trying to sell the items, keep track of money, change, receipts and Jordan on top of everything else. He wanted to explore his new school and I had to work....next time I'm bringing reinforcements to keep him entertained.
