Today is Jordan’s Birthday!! He is officially 5 and I can’t believe it!
He woke up at 3:30 am excited to get to his presents….he got a Spiderman action set that came with four characters and it does all this cool stuff!!
I bought it from Ross for $7.99!!!! What a GREAT deal, he also got this other Spiderman toy, another great deal from Ross.
Since his party is next month, I bought him a small cake so he can blow out candles tonight and I also took cookies and juice to school so he could celebrate with his class. It was neat he got to wear a birthday crown all day today and they sung the birthday song to him 3times. He loves being the center of attention…he’s such a Ham.
Today I had another meeting with his teacher and the principal, we all though that a full day of Kinder + Kids Club might be way too much for him. The only problem is that because he did meet the cut off date, he doesn’t qualify for any of the districts pre-school or early kinder programs. Kyrene does however offer a half day kinder so I’m going to try that and he’ll go to a much smaller after school program right up the street. If all goes well he could still be promoted to 1st grade next year or if we find that he sill needs some more time to get ready he’ll go to full day kinder next year. Hopefully this will work out and save the tears from him and I. Plus I’m hoping to stop the negative attitude that he was beginning to develop in regards to school! Anyway, he’ll start half day kinder + private Pre-K next week and although once again I’m paying for school, I feel really good about this decision
Monday he has an appt with his doctor to get a referral for a therapist. I’m hoping to get him evaluated and hopefully taken on as a patient so we can deals with the social and attention issues that are starting to show up.
One problem solved now if I could just solve the rest of my problems!
