Well compared to yesterday.....today must have been like Disneyland for Jordan!
We had a play date today with Jen and her two boys, Tristen and Braden.
First we went to Pump It Up for open recess and the boys had a blast. If today was any indication, Jordan's party is going to be a BLAST! The best part is that parents can jump in the bouncers with the kids. Jen and I went down this obstacle course bouncer with a very high slide, a few times with the boys, what a rush! We slid down so fast that Jen and I both have owies!
Then it was off to McDonald's for lunch and more fun at the play place. We stayed there for a while until the boys got tired and Jen headed home. By this time Jordan was done but I promised him he could go to the "water jumpers"! So Jordan and I were off to the Desert Breeze Splash Park....After about 30 minutes of playing in the water he was ready to head home. He napped for about 3 hours...
The boys got along great, everyone had fun and there were no meltdowns....all in all it was a successful day!

Poor Pumpkin!
Today I took Jordan to get his immunizations for school. Thanks to the change in Arizona school law, instead of just 2 shots he had 5!!!
Poor Pumpkin!!!! As you can imagine Jordan was beside himself ....he hates shots as it is, but to have 5 at one time! He got 2 in the right arm and 3 in the left arm.
He was crying and screaming hysterically and very loudly! Jordan has a LOUD voice even when he's speaking normally, so this was beyond loud. The nurse had to shut the door because there were other kids in the waiting room, that were getting nervous just listening to him!
I must say that although he was screaming the office down...he rememebered his manners and was extremely polite! In between the screaming, crying and hiccuping, he still remembered his manners and told the nurse, "Thank you for giving me my shots." He also told her, " No, thank you." when she offered him water and said goodbye and thank you to the nurse and the front desk staff :) I was very proud of my little pumpkin!
As we were leaving out the door I heard the nurse say, "Can you believe that? As upset as he was he still remembered his manners!"

The Best Summer Ever.............
Yesterday was Jordan's last day of Kids Club Summer Camp, he had four AWESOME teachers! Ms Bea and Ms. Judy in the morning and Ms Heather and Ms. Jessie in the afternoon. I honestly feel that compared to his pre-school, these last two months at Kids Club prepared Jordan much better for Kindergarten. Kids Club had the best in class field trips ,art projects, class projects and here's a concept they actually followed the lesson plan!!!
As we sat down Thursday to write out Thank You cards to attach to his teachers gifts, I asked him what, "What was your favorite thing about Ms. ___?" Every single sentence started out with "I Love Her because...." .... she gives me hugs, she's nice to me even when I'm mean, she smiles at me, she plays cars with me and she read my favorite book all the time.
Jordan knew all the kids and all the teachers and everyone knew Jordan! Mind you, Jordan was in the 3's/4's class and they are kept separate from the bigger kids, so how he knew all these people beats me. But knew him they did and they love him as much as he loves them. I'm simply amazed at Jordan's ability to give and receive love. He knows how to make everyone feel special and loved, it's as if he knows that some people just need that!
Sometimes you can get so caught up in making sure that your child is behaving, eating, learning, speaking correctly.....you get so focused on what they're not doing, that you lose sight of what they are doing and just how special they are!
Yesterday as I watched Jordan go around collecting hugs and saying bye to everyone I got that reminder of how special Jordan is. I was so glad that he was blessed to spend his summer with people who truly loved and cared about even when he wasn't on his best behavior!
Kids Club gave us the Best Summer Ever and I can't wait for Kindergarten........

Let’s Get Pumped!
Since I had to cancel my original birthday plans for Jordan, that left me scrambling to make some sort of party plans less than three weeks before his birthday!!!!
Jordan's party will be held at Pump It Up! Hopefully this venue will get the seal of approval from the birthday boy.
It was too late to plan a party on or close to his actual birthday, however the party will be on September 6, 2008, that’s close enough right ?
Anywhoo, I just made the deposit, sent out a “Save The Date” e-mail and now I’m on my way to pick up the invitations from Pump It Up!
Pray for a good turn out!

Welcome.....
to the insane rambling of an over protective, neurotic and extremely over analytical mom.
A mom whose mission in life, is to raise a balanced, happy, independent, confident, loving and productive member of society!
Stop by every now and again, say hello and check the status of our progress…………

Griffins are well known for their speed, ability to fly and having eyes like an eagle, as well as the strength and courage of a lion.
In hieroglyphics, griffins represent heat and summer. In Assyria (an ancient empire of western Asia,) both the griffin and the dragon were symbols of wisdom.
In Roman art, griffins are often pulling the chariot of Nemesis (goddess of justice and revenge).
